Samuel Fishman’s Offices sponsors a $1000 college scholarship biannually in 2024.

The personal injury and Philadelphia Car Accident Lawyers at the Law Offices of Samuel Fishman believe that educating the next generation is paramount. Unfortunately, higher education is expensive when you account for tuition, books, supplies, and housing.

In an effort to assist an exceptional student, who is either currently enrolled or will be enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university, defray the cost of their higher education, we are proud to announce that we will be providing a $1000 college scholarship..

What applicants are required to answer?

Applicants will need to provide an essay of 500 words or more, answering the following prompt:

Nearly half a million commercial truck accidents occur in the U.S. each year. Due to their size, these accidents typically result in significantly more severe injuries than normal motor vehicle accidents. Regulations are in place to minimize and increase accountability for these accidents, but they still frequently occur. What can be done to help reduce the number of severe injuries sustained from commercial trucking accidents in the U.S.?

Qualifications

  • Fall application deadline: July 1st, 2024
  • Spring deadline: January 1st, 2024
  • Applications should be emailed to info@myphiladelphiainjurylawyer.com in Word format (.doc/.docx); applications in any other format will be discarded.
  • Applications should include the applicant’s name, address, phone number, and the college or university they will be attending in the semester during which the scholarship money will be applied towards the cost of attendance.

Before being judged, essays will be randomized, and any identifying information will be removed. Essays will be scored on the following 10-point rubric:

  • 5 points- Argument strength
  • 2 points- Grammar and style
  • 1 point- Proper Citations
  • 1 point- On topic
  • 1 point- Creativity

Important Guidelines To Be Followed By The Applicants:

  • The introduction of the essay must be attractive and grab the user’s attention at once.
  • The applicant must be careful with their spelling, citations, and grammar.
  • The essay submitted by the candidate must be checked for plagiarism and should not be copied from anywhere else.
  • The applicants can also use online articles, case law, and other reliable authorities that will support their essay.
  • They must answer the questions to the point and provide details wherever necessary.
