Samuel Fishman’s Offices sponsor $1000 college scholarship biannually.
The personal injury and Philadelphia Car Accident lawyers at the offices of Samuel Fishman believe that educating the next generation is of the utmost importance. Unfortunately, higher education is an expensive endeavour; between tuition, books, supplies, and housing, the bill can quickly get out of control. With this reality in mind, we are proud to announce that we will be providing a $1000 college scholarship to a talented individual who is either currently enrolled or will be enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university.
Applicants will need to provide an essay of 500 words or more, answering the following prompt:
- Nearly half a million commercial truck accidents occur in the U.S. each year. Due to their size, these accidents typically result in significantly more severe injuries than normal motor vehicle accidents. Regulations are in place to minimize and increase accountability for these accidents, but they still frequently occur. What can be done to help reduce the number of severe injuries sustained from commercial trucking accidents in the U.S.?
Fall application deadline: July 1st
Spring deadline: January 1st
Applications should be emailed to info@myphiladelphiainjurylawyer.com in word format (.doc/.docx); applications in any other format will be discarded.
In the body of the submission email, applications should include applicant’s name, address, phone number, and where they will be attending in the semester being applied for.
Prior to being judged essays will be randomized and any identifying information will be removed. Essays will be scored on the following 10 point rubric:
- 5 points- Argument strength
- 2 points- Grammar and style
- 1 point- Proper Citations
- 1 point- On topic
- 1 point- Creativity
