Pennsylvania State Police have reported that a head-on car accident in Antrim Township has resulted in the death of a 76 year old male. The Police stated that the driver of a 2003 Buick Century was heading North on U.S. 11 when a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta traveling south on U.S. 11 unexpectedly read-ended a 2002 Chevrolet Suburban and then swerved into oncoming traffic striking the Volkswagen Jetta. The accident happened near 12876 Molly Pitcher Highway.
As a result of the collision, which occurred on December 3, 2014, the 76 year old man was taken to Meritus Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Also, injured were the 20 year old driver of the vehicle which swerved into oncoming traffic, and the 13 and 17 year old passengers of the vehicle operated by the deceased male. Each was a resident of Falling Waters, West Virginia, and was transported to the Hagerstown, Maryland hospital with minor injuries.
